Scavenger Hunt 2024

Goal: explore Almaty city and find interesting, promising organizations that have social value with which you can plan a project in academic year 2024-2025. Visiting an organization in person will help you understand which problems students can solve for this organization. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity to find people in a company who can engage students.

Instructions

Take any transport convenient for you to the area marked on the map

Maps can be found in "Teams" section

Find organisations that bring value to our community. These can be both commercial and non-commercial organisations

An eco-friendly manufacturing company or a boutique, a cafe/restaurant, a service organization, etc.

Conduct an interview

Find someone there who will speak with you for 5 minutes about the organization. Share about yourself and the goal of Scavenger Hunt.

Specify the following

- What their organization does
- Their wishes and worries
- Where do they see the organization in 2 years
- The most pressing challenge they are having now (in day-to day, or at a higher level)

Film the interview

Ask for a permission first. If a person declines, make sure to take notes.

Take a picture

Team picture of the organization and hopefully the person you're talking to.

Create a presentation

After arriving at school build a presentation about organizations and the challenges the organizations have.
Teams №1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16 present in English.
Please state the following points in your presentation:
✅ Team name and photo of the team
✅ Name of the organisation
✅ What benefits the organisation brings to society,
✅ What this organisation would like to achieve in 2-3 years
✅ What is the most difficult and most important problem this organisation is facing now
🍀 If you managed to take photos or videos of these organisations, it would be great to include them too
✅Please add information about organizations to the Challenge Bank

Upload your presentations on Google Drive

- Name your team
- Open Google Drive and open: "New HTA Docs --> 09 Teaching Methods --> HTA PDs --> 04 PD 2024-2025 --> Scavenger Hunt 2024" folder
- Rename a folder of your team
- Upload your presentation
