Scavenger Hunt 2022

Goal: explore Almaty city and find interesting, promising organizations that have social value with which you can plan a project in academic year 2022-2023. Visiting an organization in person will help you understand which problems students can solve for this organization. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity to find people in a company who can engage students.

Instructions

Take a subway to an area selected on the map

Maps can be found in "Teams" section

Find organizations in the community that bring value to the community or any organization that help shape the neighborhood

A school, a service organization, a day care, a restaurant, a business, a park, a museum, etc.

Conduct an interview

Find someone there who will speak with you for 5 minutes about the organization. Share about yourself and the goal of Scavenger Hunt.

Specify following

- What their organization does
- Their wishes and worries
- Where do they see the organization in 2 years

Film the interview

Ask for a permission first. If a person declines, make sure to take notes.

Take a picture

Team picture of the organization and hopefully the person you're talking to.

Create a presentation

After arriving at school build a presentation about organizations and the challenges the organizations have.

Upload your presentations on Google Drive

- Name your team
- Open Google Drive and open: "New HTA Docs --> 09 Teaching Methods --> HTA PDs --> 03 PD 2022-2023 --> Scavenger Hunt 2022" folder
- Rename a folder of your team
- Upload your presentation
